This Southern California native has a varied background including films, theatrical productions and numerous television appearances including That’s So Raven and Bizaardvark on the Disney Channel, Motown: The Early Years and as the lead singer of The Six Teens with Doo Wop’s Best on PBS and most recently Live with Kelly and Ryan: After the Oscars Show 2018 backing MAX on his hit song, Lights Down Low feat. gnash. She has appeared, toured and recorded with artists such as: Jason DeRulo, Karizma the rapper, David Coverdale and Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake, Slash of Guns ‘n Roses, Jenifer Lewis, Nancy Wilson, Loretta Devine, Dence Williams, the late Della Reese, John Tesh, Tremaine Hawkins, Doc Powell, Jerry “Swamp Dogg” Williams Brenda Holloway, Charles “Express Yourself” Wright, the one and only Little Richard, Brenton “Oogum Boogum” Wood and the late legendary Lionel Hampton to name a few. She has had the honor of singing the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium, performed for Gracie Films, the American Film Institute, Planet Hope hosted by Sharon Stone, Whoopi Goldberg, Quincy Jones, Debbi Allen and for Mr. Henry Kissinger at his Awards Gala, to name a few. She performed for an amazing 4-1/2 years at B.B. King’s Blues Club in Hollywood, CA at their Sunday Gospel Brunch. She has toured the Caribbean and the Mediterranean as an Entertainer with Radisson Seven Seas Cruises. She has had the privilege of studying with Roger Love, Seth Riggs, Leonard Reed and The Gene Bua Acting for Life Organization, where she made her debut as Alice Blue in Pepper Street with rave reviews and received The Maddy Award for Best Actress as Ele in 2nd Wind, The Musical. Her versatile vocal stylings allow her to sing Classical, Pop, Gospel, Blues and R&B, as well as Jazz. She is the co-writer of the show, Black Heritage: A Musical Anthology which traces the roots of American music and it’s history over the centuries starting from Negro Spirituals to present day. She is currently working on her EP and the title song “Stand Up!” was heard on “Extreme Clutter” on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). She can also be heard on “Revival” the title song of the soon to be released movie. Kym is a member of SAG-AFTRA, and Actor’s Equity Association (AEA). Kym is a graduate of the University of Southern California and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Kym is thankful to God for blessing her with the gift of singing and believes that God gives each of us talent; what we do with that talent is our gift to God.
